Valentines day is one of those commercial holidays where couples, lovers and the like can show their love for one another through a gesture of a gift of some sort.

For women it’s a lot more complicated, but as it’s not a birthday or any “real” special occasion then flower and chocolates with a card at the very least will suffice. Guys can go online and surprise her with a bouquet of freshly delivered flowers, but it’s probably better to visit your local florist or flower market and buy from there where you see if they are fresh; even better when you surprise her personally with them. If all else fails cook her a romantic dinner with ingredients from Waitrose and the like; wine her and dine her.

Guy’s are pretty down to earth when it comes to the gifts they receive, most guy’s are just happy to be given something and many will give back to their partner in some way; usually guy’s are the ones who plan everything and cook dinner on Valentines day, so giving and the reward in return for giving something to them is usually enough. If all else fails ladies “show up with no clothes and bring beer” that will make him happy for sure.
