Charity Shopping: Cheap made cool

You only need to go into your town centre to see just how far things have fallen. Large high street retailers have pulled out of many smaller towns, leaving huge empty stores in their wake, making once bustling towns simply quiet shells of what they used to be. Many of them have been replaced with charity shops; rent controlled spaces that are almost exclusively by volunteers and selling donations from local people. My town has just shy of twenty across the streets of the town; ranging from furniture stores, to clothing and books and to electronics. Once the failure of the bigger retail stores, these shops are quickly becoming goldmines for those willing to take a chance.

You can pick up collector’s items in them; especially in the electronic sector. Videogames, music and films that are hard to come by are often found buried somewhere in a charity shop. However clothing is where the real value of the charity shop is.
